About MeMeraki

A non-profit company building a networking environment open to the artistic community, locally and globally.

Who we are

We are not in the business of selling art. We are in the business of making art.

MeMeraki Artist is a non-profit company set up to create a networking environment open to the artistic community, in Cyprus and around the world.

Our residency programme offers bedrooms with separate workspaces for up to six professional artists at a time. Alongside the residencies we host talks, crit sessions, studio visits, open studios and an annual group show, so that artists in residence meet the local scene and the local scene meets them.

We are not a gallery and do not identify as one. The works shown in our group shows remain part of the MeMeraki Collection of Works and are not for sale. As we like to say, we are not in the business of selling art, we are in the business of making art.

What a residency gives

The programme

01
Time
Residencies of two to three months, three times a year. Long enough to make new work, not only to show it.
02
Space
Up to six artists at a time, each with a bedroom and a separate studio, in a house in the centre of Limassol.
03
Fresh eyes
Mentors and visiting artists from outside the artist’s process give one-on-one critique, alongside group crits.
04
An audience
Talks at the Cyprus University of Technology, studio visits, Open Studios and an annual group show.
